First QualiTune publications

We are happy to announce the first publications directly related to the QualiTune project. Jan Reimann recently presented his vision for a Quality-Controlled Composition Generation at the student’s workshop of 2011′s GTTSE/SLE conference. Claas Wilke et al. will present their vision for a Model-Based Energy Testing approach at the MODELS 2011 conference in October 2011.

QualiTune @ Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften

At July, 1st 2011, the 9th ‘Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften’ takes place in Dresden, where several research institutes are open for interested people and present themselves to the public. Participating, the research group QualiTune will have two presentations in the Faculty of Computer Science, Nöthnitzer Straße 46, Room INF/E08 at 7 PM and 9 PM.

Interesting results in the domain of Software Energy Consumption

Within the last weeks, three interesting studentical theses have been successfully defended that emerged from the CoolSoftware project and are interesting for the QualiTune project as well. During his Diploma Thesis, Peter Süttner investigated approaches to predict the hardware resource utilization of software components and developed a framework that allows to profile software components w.r.t.
